Steve Nash (Phoenix Suns), Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks) and Deron Williams (Utah Jazz) talk about the fundamentals of passing and give basic passing tips to help you improve! Such as: reading the defense, what types of passes to use and taking PRIDE in your passing! I know something we teach at HOOP DREAMS BASKETBALL is that “A good pass, leads to a good shot”! So, basically saying, making sure that you deliver the pass at the right time, right place, and on the seams (passing, so the seams of the ball are lined up when the receiver catches the ball)! So, lets get to work and enhance our passing abilities!!!

Rajon Rondo is somebody who has grown on me dramatically throughout this season! He is very intriguing as a player and someone that I watch constantly because of the intangibles that he brings to the game of basketball as a PG. His feel for the game and ability to see plays ahead is something that stands out when I watch him play. Rajon Rondo is an impeccable defender on and off the ball, can consistently give you double figure assists every game, is a great rebounder and unbelievable floor general who takes charge and runs his team! Here is a great story or “9 Stories on No. 9 (Rajon Rondo)” – http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2010/news/story?page=Rondo-Chapter1 !

To me this is the best part of the basketball season for the NBA! This is where all of the Top players shine and you see every one’s basketball IQ raise up a notch! The players are playing their hardest and smartest at this point knowing that every possession of each game counts! This is to me why it’s so sad, with Lebron being named MVP, that he is unable to get his team to reach the NBA finals. We have all witnessed it before where players like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant have struggled before their time has come to be champions. But, something is a bit different with Lebron, those players reached it by year 7 of their career’s! That’s why I have so much respect for Kobe Bryant because he is able to perform and win consistently even though everybody and every team has a game plan to “TRY” and shut him down! The NBA playoffs also let you see new players emerge into stardom. You are getting to see player’s like Rajon Rondo go from being good to considered great and arguably the best point guard in the NBA! That is why the NBA playoffs are FAAAANTASTIC!!!
